FromSoftware Boss Miyazaki Says 'We Still Have a Heavy Focus on Single-Player Content'

Developer FromSoftware is gearing up for The Duskbloods with a network test and a recent hands-on preview that I got to take part in. Coming off of its most recent game Elden Ring: Nightreign, which is a co-operative multiplayer experience, and now the upcoming PvPvE with The Duskbloods, you might be wondering if the studio has another single-player game lined up. Rest assured, FromSoft isn't putting all its eggs into the multiplayer basket.

‘Love Lessons’ Review: A Retired Teacher Dithers Over His Dating Options in Seductive Seaside French Fluff

If French writer-director Martin Provost were the head of a fashion brand, it would be the kind of house that turns out exceptionally well-made, classically designed upper-mid-market gear for an older clientele who know what they like and don’t want any silly logos or bizarre color combinations. It’s chic, if just a touch safe, outfits that maybe nod cursorily toward contemporary silhouettes and trends but won’t look dated in five years’ time.

TV’s Neurodivergent Casting Reckoning

Television’s portrayal of neurodivergence has long suffered from a persistent blind spot. By casting neurotypical actors to play stereotypical — and often heavily coded yet undiagnosed — white male savant archetypes, Hollywood built a rigid standard that has largely erased women, people of color and the broader diversity of real-world neurodivergent experiences.

‘Slow Horses’ Actor Jack Lowden Unpacks River Cartwright and Why Pride Gets in His Way

It’s fair to say that when audiences see River Cartwright at the beginning of Apple TV’s “Slow Horses” Season 5, he is not in a good place. The previous season revealed that River’s father, Frank Harkness (Hugo Weaving), is both a sociopath and the leader of a network of trained assassins. It was also revealed that Frank had fathered numerous sons and raised them to carry out his hits.

‘Widow’s Bay’ and Other Contenders Continue to Complicate Emmy’s Comedy Conundrum

You’re probably as tired of the “what’s a comedy?” debate as I am, particularly when it comes to awards shows like the Emmys. FX’s “The Bear” reignited that conversation a few years ago, even though it’s hardly the only show to be nominated or even win an Emmy despite it often feeling more like a drama.

How ‘Spider-Noir’s’ Artisans Created a Modern Noir Sonic Environment

Set in New York, Prime Video’s “Spider-Noir” stars Nicholas Cage and is part noir-detective and part superhero action. When it came to building the show’s sonic environment, composers Kris Bowers and Michael Dean Parsons, along with the sound team — re-recording mixer and sound designer Ryan Collins and Andy Sisul — took this into consideration. From the outset, the show immerses audiences in 1930s New York, and while set in a noir world, there’s a modern aspect to it too.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Beta Will Fix Issues That Have Plagued the Series for the Better Part of a Decade

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 beta will fix some issues that have plagued the series for the better part of a decade.

In a new blog post, Activision said it is reducing the number of times players will be prompted with the "update requires restart" message. For the last six years or so, Call of Duty players have been forced to restart their game right after booting up to apply new updates and patches. It's extremely annoying and slows down how fast you can get into the action. With the Modern Warfare 4 beta, the team is planning to reduce how often you see this upon booting up the game, but you might still get this screen if you're playing while an update is pushed out.
