Should AI help you get away with killing your spouse?

Quick question: Do you want AI to be so well trained, it could help husbands (or wives, for that matter) plan the perfect murder of their spouses?

Just as a gut reaction, that feels like a no for me. I wouldn’t even think it was a particularly hard question.

Oppo Watch X3 review: Come for the battery, stay for the versatility - Engadget

A more robust smartwatch than its Wear OS rivals.

Oppo Watch X3 on a wrist.

Daniel Cooper for Engadget

RATING : 8.2 / 10

Pros
  • Class-leading battery life
  • Rugged, yet classy, styling
  • Gemini AI integration is actually useful
Cons
  • Poor US availability
  • Cluttered and fussy default watch faces
  • Erratic fitness tracking

A lot of companies are happy to shrug off concerns about battery life in favor of aesthetics and vibes. Not Oppo, which equipped the Watch X3 with a cell nearly twice as big as the one found in Samsung's Galaxy Watch 8. But a long life is nothing if you can't enjoy things along the way, and it's here that the X3 comes into its own as one of the best Wear OS 6 devices going. It's got a few flaws, and I'm not entirely sold on its fitness tracking bona fides, but I'd happily use it as my daily driver.

Your Samsung Gallery won't be able to sync with Microsoft OneDrive soon - Engadget

Your photos don't have to go home, but they can't stay here.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra posed with plants

Max Miller for Engadget

Those who've been Samsung Galaxy owners for long enough will no doubt have experienced a pop-up or prompt on their device encouraging users to back up their photos and videos to Microsoft OneDrive. Samsung sits in a unique position within the modern computing ecosystem. Its most popular devices run Google's Android operating system, but it also makes a healthy number of Windows PCs. It therefore has strong ties with both companies, but that integration with OneDrive is coming undone in the near future.

The European Commission says Meta did implement addictive designs for Instagram and Facebook, and it is in violation of the bloc's Digital Services Act. It started investigating the company over addiction and safety concern for minors in May 2024, focusing on features such as infinite scroll, autoplay, push notifications and the apps' highly personalized recommendation systems. Now, the commission has released its preliminary findings, wherein it said that the company "did not adequately assess the risks of its addictive design on the physical and mental wellbeing of users, including minors and vulnerable adults."
