Steam user data 'may have been compromised' by a cyberattack targeting Valve's European shipping partner

Earlier this morning, Valve began contacting customers who have purchased Steam hardware in Europe to notify them that one of its regional shipping partners, CEVA Logistics, was the subject of a recent cyberattack that "likely" exposed their personal information.

Given the current state of memory and storage prices, it might seem counterintuitive to even consider throwing away functional USB drives, but we all have a couple of old ones lying around that are either too slow or too limited in capacity to be particularly useful anymore. In such cases, it makes perfect sense to properly recycle or dispose of older storage drives. However, simply deleting the files stored on the drive isn't enough to ensure your data is safely erased. All this does is mark the space that was occupied by the files as available for new data.

Ser Roderick Dustin's end in the HOTD finale was as epic as he hoped

House of the Dragon's season 3 finale saw Rhaenyra as the troubled Targaryen learned that her half brother Aegon had risen from the dead (and so had his dragon). The inevitable attack on Tumbleton threatened to make the episode a dour affair full of dragon-sized chickens coming home to roost. Yet the siege wasn't a series of rough losses and tragic endings. Ser Roderick Dustin (Tommy Flanagan), aka Roddy the Ruin, gave the episode some much-needed comic relief — if not one of the series' most iconic moments.
