Rockstar's Netflix preview has given us much to ponder

Netflix's extended look at Grand Theft Auto 6 has come and gone, and fans the world over are sifting through all the details about the most anticipated game of 2026. Given Rockstar's unusual move of debuting the footage on Netflix, many observers — us included! — weren't totally sure about what to expect from the show, but it was a pretty straightforward gameplay deep-dive without any narration or commentary from developers.
Alright, we've finally seen some real, official, brand new GTA 6 gameplay. Regardless of any more leaks springing, there's something concrete out there for us to pull apart. I was expecting some disembodied commentary voiceover but it was actually just pure cutscenes and gameplay for 26 minutes. The timeline jumped around a whole lot so Jason and Lucia's story still isn't super clear, but we can still make sense of a bunch of combat and crime features that were included.
Well, I think we all knew we'd end up here eventually, right?
It seems that Cyberleek, perpetrator of the last week's GTA 6 leaks and perhaps the world's least-convincing self-appointed champion of consumer rights, may not have ultimately been encouraging the use of their $CYBERLEEK cryptocurrency for benevolent purposes: As of this morning, it seems the leaker has cashed out on their scheme to the tune of over $200,000 in a rug pull that just about everyone saw coming.
Thirteen years is a long time. It can feel especially long when you’re developing a game in a series that loves nothing more than to satirize the times we live in. GTA 6 has the challenge, then, of not feeling out of touch with the world its trying to find the funny side of.
The new Elden Ring Tarnished Edition has arrived with two new starting classes, the Idus Knight and Heavy Knight, and also new armor sets, some new weapons, and Torrent skins for your trusty steed. You can get one of the new armor sets and weapons straight off by starting the game with either Idus Knight or Heavy Knight, but otherwise here's where to get the others.
For gamers, 2026 has been a truly abysmal year for buying expensive things cheaply. The AI-induced component shortage crisis has blighted the market for RAM, storage and GPUs, which has had a knock-on effect to most other gaming-related gear. I guess the logic is: If people can't buy a stick of RAM cheaply, or a Nintendo Switch 2 cheaply, then they're not going to expect to pay less for—as an example—a headset.
During the gamescom Studio livestream, IGN exclusively revealed the trailer for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Deluxe Edition - Mayhem Collection DLC, which features an exciting look at the new story mission starring Harley Quinn and the Joker, the Mayhem Mode, and the Sinister Pack.
