The Refreshed 2027 Kia Niro Wears Fresh Styling, but the Base Price Increases by $2500

Kia refreshed the Niro for 2027, giving its subcompact hybrid SUV more modern styling, a reworked dashboard with larger screens, and a more capable highway driving assist system. Now Kia has released pricing for the 2027 Niro, and those upgrades come at a cost. Prices have risen across the board, with the base LX trim now requiring $31,385, up by $2500.
While the LX trim is pricier than last year, it now comes standard with the bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen, instead of the 10.3-inch display from last year. The trim also gets standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All Niros are now hybrids, featuring Kia’s 139-hp setup that pairs a 1.6-liter four-cylinder with a single electric motor, making the plug-in hybrid and fully electric Niro now dead.
The Niro also gains a new S trim that slots in above the LX and costs $32,085. The S adds rain-sensing wipers, seats that mix cloth and leather surfacing, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with two-way lumbar. The front seats also get a heating function, and the second row gains air vents. Next comes the EX trim, which starts at $32,885, up by $1200, and adds paddle shifters and parking sensors for the front and rear.
The SX trim requires $36,935, up by $2050, while stepping up to the top SX Touring variant will cost you $40,485, an increase of $3200 over the 2026 model. The SX introduces a power liftgate and a power sunroof, vegan leather seat upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Harmon Kardon 8-speaker sound system, which is optional on the EX, becomes standard on the SX.
The SX Touring brings 18-inch wheels, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 360-degree surround view monitor, and a more advanced forward collision avoidance assist system. While the SX trim adds the Highway Driving Assist system, the SX Touring gets a more advanced version that can change lanes when you activate the signal.
