‘Project Hail Mary’ Arrives on Blu-ray With an Out-of-This-World Collector’s Edition

Project Hail Mary has officially made the jump from the big screen to home viewing. The Ryan Gosling-led sci-fi adventure became Amazon MGM Studios’ biggest domestic opening ever when it debuted in theaters in March, earning $80.5 million in the U.S. and $140.9 million globally during its opening weekend.

Now, the blockbuster is available to own on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD as of Aug. 11. A Steelbook Collector’s Edition is also slated for release Oct. 13.

Now available on Blu-ray, Project Hail Mary comes with several bonus features for fans to dig into, including director commentary from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, five deleted scenes and “Earth’s Favorite Eridian.”

If you’d rather stream than buy a physical copy, the film is also available on Prime Video. Prime members can watch it as part of their subscription, while eligible new subscribers can use a 30-day free trial. For those without Prime, the film is available to rent in UHD for $5.99 or buy in UHD for $19.99, giving viewers the option to watch it on demand without a membership.

The film’s success has extended beyond the box office and home entertainment release, with the story making its way into a growing lineup of merchandise and collectibles. Since the movie is based on Andy Weir’s bestselling novel, fans can revisit the original story while also bringing elements from the adaptation home, from a LEGO recreation of the Hail Mary spacecraft to collectibles inspired by Rocky.
