Today’s Wordle Bot Analysis

Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordle score with Wordle Bot right here.

Today’s opening guess, POLAR, was neither terrible nor particularly great, leaving me with 117 words and one measly yellow “O.” SHONE slashed that down to six, but I wasn’t feeling all that great about a green “O” and a green “E” and not a single consonant. Lucky for me, my next guess was super lucky: GEODE for the win! Rock and roll!

The Bot and I tie with 3 a piece. That’s 1 point each for guessing in three and 0 for tying. Double that for 2 points each. August totals rise:

Erik: 18 points

Wordle Bot: 1 point

Today’s Wordle Etymology

“Geode” comes from Greek geōdēs, meaning “earthlike” or “earthy,” from gē (“earth”) + -ōdēs (“resembling”). The term came to describe rounded, earthlike rocks containing hollow cavities often lined with crystals.
