I ate at Pat Lafrieda's Chop House at Citi Field. It was expensive, but a far cry from the typical baseball-game hot dog.

Marvel, ‘Star Wars’ and DC’s Biggest Fans Discuss Why Their Favorite Franchises Are Struggling: ‘I’m Still Waiting for “Blade”’

James Gunn, there’s a Johnny Depp impersonator who would like to have a word about DC.

“I think the new ‘Supergirl’ sucks,” 39-year-old Oklahoma City native and devoted DC fan John (go figure) says from San Diego Comic-Con’s main floor. He looks exactly like “Pirates” era Depp, with chunky silver rings, a goatee, and a wide-brimmed fedora. Strangely enough, when asked if he’s cosplaying as the Hollywood bad boy, he tells me, as if offended, “Not really.” Returning to what ails DC, he adds, “I think they tried too hard. The LINK probe is now spinning helplessly in orbit.

A spacecraft

Katalyst Space

In early July, NASA launched a spacecraft designed to rescue the Swift observatory, which is currently decaying at a faster rate than normal, in hopes that it could still collect data for scientists over the coming years. But now that spacecraft itself is in trouble, and the fate of the mission remains unclear. In an update on the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory blog, NASA has revealed that the spacecraft called LINK experienced attitude control issues last weekend, meaning it had problems managing its orientation in space. That caused the spacecraft to spin, which in turn resulted to sporadic communications.

And despite much of its memory being fed straight to AI data centers, it is noting that memory supply will only get worse next year.
