Xbox announced its "most significant restructure" in its history on Monday as 3,200 employees will be laid off by July 2027. In the same memo announcing the layoffs, Xbox CEO Asha Sharma said Xbox Game Pass "did not grow at the pace we expected." A new report stated Game Pass' subscriber count was currently at 30 million — less than the 34 million reported in February 2024, and well short of the 77 million subscribers Xbox had projected to reach by July 2026.

It's an unfortunate coincidence that Xbox Game Pass is losing so many great games this month. On Tuesday, the company announced the new wave of titles hitting the service in the first half of July as well as what's leaving. Game Pass subscribers will lose access to 10 games on July 15, including one of the best dungeon crawlers that doesn't have "Zelda" in its name.

Dungeons of Hinterberg landed on Game Pass when it was released back in July 2024. It's a fresh mix of Zelda-like dungeon-crawling and Persona-adjacent social simulation as you tackle a dungeon during the day and make new friends at night. You play as one of the most relatable protagonists in games: Luisa, someone who's burned out from work. She takes a vacation to de-stress, but instead of that vacation featuring piña coladas on the beach, it's all about fighting monsters in dungeons, and Dungeons of Hinterberg's combat is excellent.

Dungeons of Hinterberg isn't the only game leaving Xbox Game Pass. Here's everything that will no longer be available after July 15, including standout titles like Golf With Your Friends and Shadow of the Tomb Raider:

To offset those losses, Xbox Game Pass is adding a handful of games. Will Gears of War: Reloaded now being available on Game Pass Premium be enough to start pumping that subscriber count up toward 77 million? I'll press X to doubt. Here's everything being added in the first half of July:
