Game Freak's Beast of Reincarnation arrived earlier this month, and the reaction has been a little iffy. It holds a respectable 73/100 aggregate score on Metacritic—lining up quite nicely with our own 73% review—but the response on Steam is "mixed," with many user reviews expressing some variation of "close, but not quite." And for that, game director Kota Furushima is sorry.

Tracking down Grounded 2's pond jockey is an important step toward making underwater exploration easier. The pond jockey itself isn't particularly special, nor does it give you more than one drop. However, scanning that drop unlocks a new weapon designed for underwater combat.

Wes Fenlon's recommendations

Wes recommends: Ace Combat

When I really think about how I spend my time writing here on PC Gamer, there’s actually not all that much of it that goes into straightforward recommendations. Between interviews, editorials about the games industry, features about PC gaming history and a spot of news here and there, it’s not all that often I just get to say: “Hey, here’s something I really like. Check it out!”

There's a New GOTY 2026 Contender — and Many More Around the Corner

The 13th Game Awards, set for Dec. 10, will surely be dominated by Grand Theft Auto 6. Or will they? If the release date for Rockstar's game slips by more than one day, it will be ineligible, and even if it doesn't, it's cutting things fine in terms of the jury having time to play and consider it. It's not like other developers can't get the upper hand in the Game of the Year race, as well: just look at 2018's God of War and 2013's The Last of Us, which defeated Rockstar behemoths Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5 at many award shows. This still has the potential to be an exciting race.

'People just get chopped off nonstop'

4 questions with House of the Dragon star Steve Toussaint

Corlys Velaryon

Few people have had a tougher go in House of the Dragon season 3 than Corlys Velaryon. The legendary Sea Snake, played by Steve Toussaint, saw his castle and much of his fleet destroyed in the Battle of the Gullet at the start of this season. He's also lost several family members, and the Sea Snake’s request to have his bastard sons recognized as Velaryons was awkwardly rejected by Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D'Arcy), who's still grieving her own children.
